Yum

Cookies Policy

Last updated: 8 July 2026

Yum is currently a demo build. This is a realistic starting point, not a substitute for legal advice — have it reviewed before handling any real customer data.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that let a website remember information between visits — like whether you’re logged in, or what’s in your cart.

What we use

Yum only uses essential cookies and browser storage — nothing else:

  • Session cookies — keep you signed in as a customer, restaurant owner, or admin. Encrypted, httpOnly, and expire automatically (7–30 days depending on account type).
  • Cart storage— remembers what’s in your basket between pages, stored locally in your browser, not on our servers.
  • Theme preference — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.

What we don’t use

No third-party advertising or tracking cookies, no analytics cookies that follow you across other sites, and no cookies are sold or shared with advertisers.

Managing cookies

Since we only use essential cookies needed for the site to function (staying logged in, remembering your cart), there’s no separate consent banner — blocking them in your browser will mean features like login and cart persistence won’t work properly.
